A vintage Kuba cloth from the Congo. The Kuba people produce these
incredible works of art. They are woven by hand using very fine
strips of palm fibre which are coloured using natural vegetable
dyes. Take a close-up look at the weaving and you can see just
how much time and skill it must have taken to create such a piece.
Typically uneven in shape, with a small amount of wear and tear,
this great example, with intricate traditional geometric designs,
measures very approximately 65cm x 55cm. Like most Kuba cloth
the design and colours are captivating with beautiful autumnal
